Well, that was fun!

While I have been away my instructor has ridden Grace three times (once last week, twice this week) as she has not been going out in the field at all. I spoke to her tonight and she said she had been a little bit 'fresh' when she had ridden...

Basically Grace had a bucking fit with her

So, I tacked her up tonight and walked her down to the school. As soon as she stepped into the school she started squeeling and bucking, so I knew I was in for an interesting ride and I had not even got on yet.

Tightened her girth, put my foot in the stirrup and again the squeeling and bucking

When I finally got on she was just so excited to be working in the school that we had one final bucking fit and then worked fantastically. At least it shows that she loves her work!

I am just so pleased with how Grace is coming on, and if I am honest I love that she has the attitude she has... when she first came to me she was quite quiet but the fitter she has become, the more attitude she seems to be showing. I remember when I went watching Carl Hester's demonstration, he said he would rather have something with attitude and fire as he can work on channeling that into expression!

yup the attitude thing is definately correct. Andrew always says that to me about Archie - he'd much rather have a horse thats on its toes all the time and has a spark than one that has no interest in anything.
