and he is very cute. Lovely manners, a bit shy and we won't be titbitting him as he is a bit nibbly, but very well behaved. Middle sister had a sit on and he was well behaved (has a rep as a bucker for the first few times ridden) Hasn't been ridden in a good while and a bti scrawny.
I'm thinking lots of good food and ridden work to build him up. He's part exmoor I think (have been told) and used to be a teaser, though now gelded.
Any risks with putting him out with 4 geldings and a mare, all a lot bigger than him?
He'll be introduced at our normal, rate, but can't put him in the field yet as he is hard to catch and I can just see us ending up with him stuck in the field.

congrats on the new arrival, would love to see some piccies.
is he used to being out with others? if he hasn't long since been gelded then probably not. so i'd err on the side of caution and if u have a spare field turn him out with just 1. pick the herd leader to go in and see how they go. might want to put on boots and leave headcollars on for quick catching if things go bad (which i'm sure they won't) if the herd leader (the bossiest 1) accepts him and vice versa then all should b fine for him in the group. if u only have the 1 field then bring all others in except those 2. might have to break the titbitting rule for a bit if u want him to catch without the risks involved with taking buckets of feed to field tho.
good luck with him, and hope i've been helpful
