well...what a waste of time...

took the boy to the said show today, onlt to arrive ro find rings running 45 mins late, when we eventually get into the class the ring is too small to even swing a cat in.....1/2 of the entrants wern't true novices, mostly ex-dressage horses!! i rode really really badly, so now the boy will be put up for sale...we were dead lsat of 20 and the judge was getting very fed up so i didn't do my individual......should have gone hacking instead

Poor you! Dont give up though, another show you might get a completely different result. V rude of judge not to see all individual shows I think
 
Yeah bit rude of the judge esp as you have paid to be in the class....I can understand though with the time being tight and maybe on this occasion that was the reason but thats a shame -I helped steward in a class the other day there were only 5 in it couple of 4 year olds 1st time out we let them take their time and do a full show and although the judge felt there was clear winner which we had seen stripped already in the inhand we still stripped them all so as to give people and horses the exp-but then we had a lot of time. Everyone esp the people with the youngsters seemed to appreciate it though. We aslo had had a good trot and canter on the first go round as well to let the younger horses have a look and settle.
 
the point is in the bad riding the horse doesn't deserve that so i'm doing the best thing and selling now rather than wait until he is wrecked and ends up on project horses,,,
