Had a couple of lessons there with the uni riding club- I must say appearances are deceptive, I was like OMG when I was given what looked like a 20yrs old hat rack, that was as stiff as a board coming out the stable, and its wind was terrible as it had COPD- but once I had warmed it up it gave an amazing feel and it turned out to be a medium schoolmaster. Lesson was bit repetitive, did leg yielding for the whole lesson, to be honest though it was one of the better riding schools i have been too. I can imagine the hacking is nice in sherwood forest!
Never had any lessons there but I used to keep my horses stabled near to the place. Heard good and bad about the place as is normally the case?!
The hacking isn't in Sherwood Forest - the 100 acres they're talking about is a selection of fields just up from the yard. The fields all have like gallop tracks around the edges of them and that's what they use to hack on. Good for a whizz but I imagine just hacking around then would get a bit boring.
