Horse and I are on holiday in Wales this Christmas and although I've been advised that there is no hunting nearby, a bit of a drive gives us any country around the borders. I would like jumping country (hedges would be ideal so we can have a go at the bigger stuff) - can anyone advise? (it would be Boxing Day we'd be out, if that makes any difference).

Thank you!

which bit of Wales? If you're north then you could nip across the border to the Cheshire farmers

there's the Monmouth, South Hereford and Ross down the south - we're not a million miles from the borders either - Ledbury and we have hedges :)

Well there are a lot of hedges in Cheshire. Wynnstay and Cheshire are who you need to call for those. Not so many in South Shrops and adjacent hunts across the border I believe.

Thank you Georgia. I'd really love to go hedge-hopping this year so that's great advice... and would like to get a couple of runs in with the Mid Surrey draghounds before we go (they have a particularly helpful website and are not too far a drive away).
