Anybody got any experience of either of these breeds? What are they like, strengths/weaknesses? Any pictures?

In the next few days i'm going to see a TB X Warmblood filly, six months old and a few Welsh D X Warmblood youngsters, colts and fillies.

Thanks!!

A friend of mine has a welsh d x warmblood, and although she thought he'd turn out quite chunky, he's quite finely built. She bought him when he was a yearling. He's fairly chilled out, with a fantastic jump! Great attitude....that's my only experience sorry, hope it helps!

Most warmbloods are in effect thoroughbred crosses anyway, mine is branded Belgian WB but sire was full TB and dam was part TB so he is a lightweight sportshorse type :)

A friend has a welsh d x warmblood. He is quite a lot heavier then my warmblood and you can really see his native side. He grows a really thick winter coat and holds his weight very well. He's extremely laid back and chilled out in all respects and sweet natured. That's all I can really tell you!

Friend has a welsh D x WB. Built like a fine welsh D. Far to spooky, nutter, crazy for my liking. She is one of those that is fine one minute and then just explodes. Can't be doing with that.

Shame shes a very nice well put together horse.

This is my Welsh D X W/B - she is immature and very flighty, can be hot headed and a bit of a numpty, but kind/loving and very hard working and a quick learning, can turn her hoof to anything and always gives 100%, and she's gorgeous :0)
She rides and drives but don't have many ridden ones of her, she was only backed this year, but did her first walk/trot dressage test with her part loaner a couple of weeks back and got placed 2nd with a score of 67.38% (that's pretty good apparently, I have no idea I don't do dressage !)

I have a 3 yr old Welsh x Warmblood. He is fantastic, he has flashy paces, a very trainable attitude, takes to new things with minimal fuss and is a general nice person! He gets fed up with no turn out and when he's fed up he gets a bit bargey and rude but only needs telling off once then he's a dream again!
