Went to a show today! (self indulgent - sorry!)

The only show pony and I have ever been to was the yard show, so i decided to go to a local show today! My friend was supposed to be bringing her ponio too, but he has a nasty fly bite

so he had to stay at home.

Went to the show with the intention of maybe entering an in hand class but mostly just giving pony a new experience and seeing how he got on.

First proud moment of the day was that ponio loaded onto the trailer brilliantly - I don't think he's ever been on one before! When we got there we'd missed the in hand class so I signed us up for ridden classes.

We did Open Style and Appearance (on a whim!) and came...well...last! But I was just so proud of how well he behaved in the ring (even if we couldn't maintain canter). Then we did Ridden Mountain and Moorland, and came 6th so we got a rosette

- managed slightly more canter in that one.

He was just such a good boy all day, we went to see all the sights like the shop tent and the burger van. He was calm, sensible and didn't really try to tank off, and he seemed to enjoy the day out.

Glad you had fun! I went to a show aswell today, only local level but she was brilliant, i entered her in the 2.3ft and the 2.6ft where she came 2nd and 1st im so proud of her! We looked abit funny with me being on my gypsy cob and the others down the line on their tbs and warmbloods.

Oh brilliant, well done Bex and Murphy, so pleased for you, sounds like the lovely Murphy was a star! One day I will get to a show, but being trailer-less makes it awkward!

We went to the show at Botcheston. Should have some pics later in the week as someone else was taking them - me and Murphy had a bit of an entourage as a few people from the yard came with us and they were so helpful and lovely

I feel like the day was so good for us both - I hope he gained confidence and I know I gained trust in him, and I feel like we bonded a bit more
