and came back with a saddle!
Due to my Wintec chafing woes on the Stableyard forum, I decided that I need to get a new saddle as the pain is starting to hurt my back due to trying to contort to avoid getting chafed.
I only went to the shop to get chaff- honest!
Then I told the owner about my woes (an understanding lady) and she showed my a second hand saddle she just got in- a Classic Saddlery (Walsall) close contact saddle in a 17" seat and WELL within my budget! It's got a VERY flat seat and a VERY low pommel. I sat in it in the shop and I didn't feel a hard chafey pommel at the front at all. It's hardly been used, only a few scratches which I'm pretty sure I an oil out.
I just googled it, it's this one!!!

I have it on trial anyways so I'm going to try it tomorrow morning. It's a medium fit but Sen takes a narrow-medium so it may be ok if I use a thick numnah. I hope it fits her!!
