Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who commented on my last thread asking for CC on Beau.
We appear to be back on track after our slightly disastrous weekend.
I've had a good look at my feeding regime and it's being tweaked. I've also double checked that he's getting the correct amount of feed for his workload and size.
Beau's had a few days off and I'm pleased to say that he was super today. I kept it short and sweet and we did lots of stretchy work and transitions, and he managed a nice balanced trot without sticking his ears up my nose.
There was no tail swishing or face pulling, so hopefully Sunday can be put down to a bad day on paper.
I'm going to concentrate on our flatwork and stick to one or two jumping lessons a month over the winter with the aim of starting to compete next year once he's muscled-up and put on some condition.
The back lady is coming tomorrow as I want to get him checked out anyways. We'll see what she finds and go from there.
