Final instalment - stables finished this afternoon, had a big clean, pellets arrived and hay tomorrow. Girls packed up at livery so just need to get them and we're done. Coincidentally it's my birthday tomorrow - think it's going to be a good one.
Thank you all. They loaded and travelled like pros and no bother to unload. My mare who went away for backing has barely been out whilst away so she stuck her head down and has barely looked up since. They'll both come in today and a she'll have a lunge and nosey round the manège - if she's good I'll hop on.
So we had first try in the school on lunge yesterday and she was so good we hopped on this evening (after a short lunge). Only a walk on both reins (loose contact) but she was super chilled out and you'd never guess she was only backed 3 or so months ago. We'll take it easy for the next few days and then start to do some more work - she really is a fab little horse
