I was hoping that Mr T was OK, but judging from his bed this am he was climbing the walls bless him, he hates any gun shot noise let alone fireworks, the yard is in middle of no-where but I guess the neighbouring village was bound to have had some.

Although my cats were fine sat with me all night in lounge, I even put TV on up in the bedroom for them to watch and distract.
Cats love watching the TV... lol :D :D :D

So hope no fireworks injured or killed any animals last night, do any of you sit up the yard or fields with your horses on bonfire night??
I used to at an old yard, but this one I can't alawise I would've.

are dogs were both fine, flat out snoring by 9.30
i was a little worried about are springer as he is epileptic so he he a herbal calmer and was fine i think i was more upset with them then the dogs, the interrupted my X factor!! :D

Cat was v traumatised but pony seems fine - he defo laid down for a big sleep at some point judging by the state of his rug this morn! :)

Horse was fine but he is well used to guns and crow bangers, the JRT wasn't overly happy, the sheep and chickens were ok, and the pigs stayed out and watched the fireworks!

Horses absolutely fine, all out in field and no signs of any upset. All hay gone.

Personally I always feel they're much safer outside in field, where they can get away if nec, as their natural instinct is to move if worried putting them in a stable takes that natural coping mechanism away from them xx

Ditto xx

Yes, horses were totally chilled despite village firework display next door. Cat, dogs and guineapigs all fine, although one of the dogs wanted me to hang around while she went outside for a wee.

Left horses out on Friday to see how Mills would cope, but she seemed fine so I think my sharer brought them in last night.

mine were fine tho 1 cat came flying through the door, all the horses are stabled and i would say i heard less fireworks this year than last year.

Both horses fine this morning and beds no more disturbed than normal. Daughter's cat insisted on going out about 7 o'clock last night and hasn't returned yet today. Not too worried yet, bit will have to go looking for her if she's not back by this evening.

Far fewer fireworks than usual, sign of the times?? Such as there were, horses all OK and all slept as normal, cat enjoys them, dog far less paranoid than usual! :) She usually tries to get under my chair and under the bed, but Strictly etc up loud seemed to do the trick!

All horses fine, they were well away from any rammy, tucked up in bed, checked at back o 9, munching merrily away to themselves.
Dog was watching from living room window on his chair, unperturbed by them.
Cat was in watching from a bedroom window, they'll all be in tonight again as im sure some stragglers will be firing them up tonight again

I stayed out in paddock with mine as edjit neighbour had fireworks literally at the edge of my paddock. I have no stables so that was not an option for me. My lot were fine with all the other fireworks, even those reasonably close but when neighbour started (they were firing them out over my paddock ) Horses got really frightened but thankfully did not run in a blind panic. they just kept cantering in circles :(. I did my best to calm them with my voice and try to herd them to far corner. They settled once stupid neighbour had finished!

Ours are used to shoots and crow scarers, so, stayed out as usual. YO had a 'no bang' firework party in her back garden (as she does every year), and would have been on hand if anything had gone wrong.
I did, however, have a rocket post land on top of my car as I was about to start it! hell of a bang, made me jump!

well we had a little display and huge bonfire on the farm last night and all the horses were fine apart from one of our ponies who had a run round the field a few times and then got bored as none of the others joined in! only thing that did seem disturbed were the geese who usually fly over at dusk and settle somewhere locally, they were still up flying around at 9pm which is very unusual.

Thought my girl would be fine ! Completly wrong, bed was trashed cue 5 huge wheelbarrows of bed coming out and a deepish gash on her nose :( Poor pony

My horse was fine - was in his stable chilled, not bothered by the local fireworks in a nearby park. My dog on the other hand, was very upset and howled through the whole thing with his tail between his legs and his ears down and the most pathetic wee look on his face - he was not happy at all :(

Mine was ok I think, he sometimes like to digg up his banks and other nights he doesn't. So they were dug up this morning, he did have a little look coming out of the barn but then thought it was all ok and walked quietly out.

He then 'helped' me to firework hunt, but none were found so all good.

Lots of random fireworks around last night. My pony and boy in next paddock looked a bit as if they hadn't slept well but no skid marks or sloppy poos in field, my boy does that in times of real stress! Dogs both labs wanted to go out and watch or better still organise, nothing to do with the fact that there was obviously food on offer!

My last dog, a collie used to hide in my bed and then stayed under the duvet with me all night, bless her.

Jane

Brought mine in as I weren't too sure how he'd cope but he seemed fine :) We watched them from his stable. Glad I brought him in though, the neighbour next door set a huge bonfire and the smoke was blowing into his stable and set off some pretty big fireworks...

Our dog was brill though, he normally hides in the corner shaking :( but this year seemed fine and sat on the couch all night :D

Horses ok not really many houses around there to have fireworks. At home our 4 dogs and 4 cats diddnt seem bothered, or the other pets (bit of a zoo here!) it was my pups first bonfire night but i dont think she really noticed. She was asking to go for a walk but i thought it wasnt wise.

My field neighbour has fireworks every year going off the other side of the hedge to my horses paddock. I have stables but they are used to living out 24/7.

For the first year in the 4 years I have been at the current place they were all chilled during the fireworks, shetland was sleeping in her shelter despite WW3 lighting up the field and the bigger two stood and watched or grazed. The difference from previous years was that my friends cob has moved elsewhere, appears she was the one who wound them all up!

I always stay with them from dark until late just incase but this year friend and I ate chips whilst next door had their display which we watched without me stressing about the horses and then I went home when they had finished at 8.30!!

my puppy was fine, too busy ransacking my mums house!
my rabbit was fine, he was tucked up in bed!
my ponies were fine - they watched the fireworks and bonfire that are annually held at our yard. Neither flinch at gun shots (theres a shoot behind the yard) and neither flinched at the fireworks - they were just glad of the extra treats they received from visitors!!

Mine were out last night and this eve so they could have a little run about if they were nervous, plus people next door starting letting off REALLY loud fireworks with no warning :/ gonna put them back is as normal tommorw though :) xx
