Hi guys

I am off to look at 2 wessex trailers tomorrow. One is a clubman and the other an olympian. I really like the look of them and they seem cheaper than ifor williams and look a bit better - i prefer the ramp on that side!

So please give me your good and bad points and reviews!

I posted a similar request a couple of years ago and a h&h member said no no no. They said the horses leg had gone through the corrogated metal side where it met the floor and lacerated its leg. I did like the looks of them too but decided not to bother.

Hi

I've had a Clubman for the past 3 years. I bought it brand new, having sold an Ivor Williams 510. I wanted something smaller and ligher to tow and preferred the finish and attention to detail that the Wessex had over the Ivor.
I absolutely love the clubman, and all the horses I have travelled in it have also been v happy. It has lovely soft padded sides and partitions, and instead of chains on the partition clips they have plastic loops, to cut down on the noise and rattling inside the trailer. Its great to tow and has aged well even though it lives outside and has not rusted anyway. Have to say I wouldn't buy any other make of trailer now and I've owned 2 Ivor Williams in the past. The air vent on the front nose of the trailer also works well giving the horses a good flow of ventilation. Mine also came with extra windows in the side of the trailer making it light and bright inside. Go and see what you think tomorrow, but I totally recommend them!!!

I absolutley love my clubman. Had it from new for 3 years, I love the padded partitions and its very light me and my mum can push it around. Has a window in the front so you can watch horses whilst towing. No rust or signs of wear in 3 years. Completely recommend them!

I expect all makes of trailers could have a few horror stories connected to them.
I personally have never heard anything bad about Wessex trailers.
