I'm entered for WW today and really looking forward to it. There's a crash on the motorway though and it's all shut and I'm not going to make it.
My friend joined the M4 at 7.45 this morning and has gone about one junction in 3.5 hours. I was supposed to be setting off at 12pm but can't see the point to get stuck in the traffic. M4 still hasn't reopened.
Now I'm really sorry to the families involved in the accident but what a rubbish season this has been

Going to wait till 12.30 to see if it does open/clear yeah right.
So currently back at my desk and sulking

Oh no what a nightmare - is there no way of getting there from where you are without going on M4? Where is it closed?

Everywhere is chocker. Even the diversion routes

Coedcae made it through first thing and her husband was on the motorway same time as her. She got off at junction 30 and went around, he got off at 28 and has only now rejoined the motorway past the crash 3 hours later.
My other friend got off at 30 and is still stuck.
All routes are stupidly blocked. The blooming crash was at 2am as well.
Going to give it half hour but Radio 2 is still saying everything is blocked and everyone is ringing me saying don't set off.
Anyone know any good jokes to cheer me up

I've rung her but what can she do? It's not her fault the M4's blocked.
I nearly last to go in my section anyway so I can't really go later

I'm 2 hour drive away and I'm on at 3.30 but could be as late as 4pm. Got half hour to decide so glued to all the traffic reports

A48 is a complete no no though. That's where everyone is stuck, and they were doing a new diversion through Abergevenny (spelling sorry) and that's now grid locked as well and that's a long diversion.
Do you sense my defeat

I hope you get there...

Use Google Maps - it lets you drag and drop the route to avoid anything you like, so start out on the route it gives you, then drag and drop it to avoid all the snarl ups.

Fingers firmly crossed you make it! Let me know how you get on if you get there!
