Due to arthritus casuing limited use of my left leg in the saddle i have moved over to western saddle as more comfey on my dodgy hip and also much safer in terms of me not falling out the saddle when my leg is bad. I now have a bueatiful american paint horse who is ready for starting and am looking for a good Western / NH trainer or a rider looking for a horse to compete in these fields as i won't be riding much so be happy to share my lovely lad. Would really like someone local who can come to me as i don't have mega funds nor trasnport for trailing out to a trainers yard. Alos be nice to find western riders locally to go riding or showing with when he is ready to ride out.
I would also like lessons for myself once he is started so i can learn neck reingin etc vocie command training so i don't need to use my leg to push him on

I guess that puts you in WES (Western Equestrian Society) Area 5 and within striking distance of WES Area 7 - there are quite a few Western riders in that part of the UK but how close to you any one is, who knows! If you are on Facebook, it could well be worth looking up these two WES area groups as that's a good way to get in touch with people more local to you. There are also clinics run fairly regularly at various locations from Newark to Yorkshire, all of which welcome spectators as well as riding participants.

Thats great thanks for the advice i had a look at wes but no one paticularly close i think, i will have a go on facebook when i eventually get my net back up at home
