Just heard from a friend that works at a boarding kennel that unfortunately the owner of a lovely Westie girl has passed away yesterday and the dog is still in kennels. There are no family members that can take the dog on.

She is a 2 year old girl with a good nature, local shelters are full. The boarding kennels are on the out skirts of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

If anyone is interested or knows of any Westie rescue sites we can also advertise her on, please get in touch and I will pass your details on to my friend.

Thankyou

Hope she finds a lovely home. I would suggest your friend is very careful about vetting prospective homes and ideally gets the bitch spayed, westies are unfortunately very popular with puppy farmers/bybs :(

I'm not far away and wouldn't mind fostering temporarily if the poor little girl is going to be in the cold.....:-(

Thanks Maisy for the offer. A lady has taken her home for the night to trial with her other dog.

Sad situation and the new home where ever it may be will hopefully be for the remainder of the dog's life, out of respect to the owner who passed away.
