I was a spectator, not a competitor - but what did you think of the course? There seemed to be a lot of jumping down into things and there also were lots of horses giving the fences a big wallop.

It would be interesting to hear a rider's opinion.

I have never done autumn weston... but spring weston always looks horrible when you walk it but lovely to ride.... Janet is an expert at getting riders to use their brains and ride safely... although the time is always near to impossible!!!

l did the one star it was fab l had such a good week and NO rain!!! Course was super

Was there grooming for the 2star. Course looked huge first time walked it then everytime after that it seemed to get smaller!! (easy to say when not riding!!)

It did seem quite questioning early on & twisty but also seemes to ride well. Fence 5-6 seemed bad when walked but actually rode very well it was reported back to me, by rider who will do a report when/if she ever sits down!!

As eventerus says weather was lovely though the ground very firm & slippy.

My friend did the two star and was papping it beforehand as the horse is inexperienced at that level, apparently lots of skinnies and big ones at that. Needn't have worried as they jumped double clear in the end!!
I think its always big but rides well...

Thanks, glad to know it rode well. There seemed to be several clears, and then a cluster of problems. Interesting course though.

l also did weston last year and this years was a little kinder, still usual weston technical but not big like for instance Hartpury. I just couldnt stop smiling all week 3day events there is nothing like them!!!!
