Hi....

I am having a nightmare with this registration process...I was told months ago that if I had my mare graded with the Hanoverian Society I could brand and register my foal as a Hanoverian...mare graded passed and several hundred pounds down now they say no as not enough hanoverian in dam and sire....so i as both parents are westphalian I can go down that route but that is proving a nightmare

I know i can go AES and British Warmblood but would really like to go down the branding route etc

I have emailed the westphalian society but as of yet no reply...any help advise much appreciated

The situation where you have a Hessen stallion licensed Hanoverian,Westphalian and Hessen which covers a Westphalian mare the Westphalian will issue a puredbred passport. The Hanoverian can only issue a Hanoverian passport if the stallion is foal branded Hanoverian but could have been branded Hanoverian as it had pure Hanoverian pedigree so might be a Swedish Warmblood. It is also confusing as the Hanoverian Society merged with the Hessen Society some years ago. The Hanoverian Society will refund any monies I think you can be assured and apologise for this error.
