No idea about the Westropp logo but yes - the Velcro does up pointing the "wrong" way:

See this pic:

I've had mine about 4 years still going strong (got a spare pair in the horsebox for hacking too!)
The pic above doesn't show it that clearly but the "loose" end of the Velcro is nearest to the front strike pad. Several of my friends have them and theirs are all like it - I don;t think you could do them up tightly enough if the velcro was on the other way round.

Yes, I've been looking online too and yes, they do appear to be done up 'the wrong way' as standard. That's fine if it's normal. Bit weird about the Logo though. These must be 'seconds' I rekon. They're going to look a bit weird with an upsidedown logo!

PS - they are probably seconds - good price though! My guess is they got the logo the wrong way around on a run of them.
As long as they save the horse in the event of a fall on the road, that's good enough for me!

Yeah, absolute bargain! Really pleased to have gotten a pair so reasonably priced for my youngster to hack out in. I'm getting very fed up fiddling with the leather straps on her Jeffries knee boots. I'll see if I can remove the logo - not that I guess anyone would really notice anyhow :p

I've easily managed to remove the upsidedown logo labels using my seem cutter so am a happy bunny again now! :D

I have set of Westrop knee boots which I bought in a bin sale, they have been great, I never realised what they were for ages, but I have had them for five years and they are used to lunge young horse and so on, plus turned upsides they are great as knee boots [which they are!]

I have a pair and, yes, I was confused :o :o when I realisd that they did up frontwards, I was always brought up that the staps went backwards, I absolutely love them and wear them every time I ride as the roads where I am are really slippery and my horse is not brilliant in traffic. The only complaint I have is that I have to trim the top of the knees as otherwis he sometimes knocks them, even though he is normal width inbetween the front legs.

I've only bought 2 pairs in the 16 years I've had my horse so that is how well they last. My old girl went down on her knees on the road just a couple of weekends ago, but she was fine and the boots were too. I reckon you could use them as travel boots with a good traveller, especially if you stick a pair of overreach boots on the bottom.
