This year the ragwort is out in force so husband and I armed with spades and empty feed sacks covered around 50 acres. We filled the car boot three times and I got told off for not being gentle enough handling the picked ones incase I dropped seeds.. He got told off for making my car filthy by dumping clods of earth off the ragwort straight on the passenger seat floor!
Why do men have to make everything so filthy? My car door is covered in mud inside, the dash has mud on it, and to cap it all every time he got out or in he slammed the door... his arguement is it's a heavy door, but in the end he started shutting it less badly.
we still have several fields to do but the rain got so heavy we abandoned it and came back.
Tomorrow I think we'll take the tractor, as this afternoon I'm having mine cleaned...(and as anyone who knows me will tell you, my car is always a tip, but clods of earth even I draw the line at!)

PMSL...

OH and myself had a "ragwort" tiff AND a "leccy tape" tiff on saturday ....i opened a gate to let him and the pick up through...and he proceeded to disapear over the horizon in the back field!!!!!!

i had to bloody well walk!!

he was told off in no uncertain terms, i can tell you!!

it's funny how they can make so much mess in so short a time though, isn't it?

Glad it's not just us then, he is soooo bossy and it drives me mad.
The good side of the rain is the plants unless monsters pulled out root and all very easily, but I wore gloves and washed my hands afterwards anyway, the stuff stinks!

Youve just reminded me that I really should be out there doing mine before the ground dries up again
