Anybody any plans, except hiding from the monsoons and storms we are expecting?

Thankfully I am off to the BD Presents... day tomorrow so will be indoors!
No riding plans for us: it looks like 48hrs of relentless wind and torrential rain here so I actually think the boys might be having a weekend in, for the first time in many years.

We then have a show Thursday to try our first freestyle, I'm already stressing about keeping up with the music but I'm sure once we've done the first one we will be grand.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and stays as dry as possible!

I thought about going to the BD Presents thing. Will be great to hear how it goes.

I have a lesson this afternoon. Was going to film e-riders test but feeling very bleh and menstrually challenged, so will just go and enjoy some horse time in the sunshine. The feedback from last test was 'more oomph' and I don't have that today, but maybe we can work on that outside of test riding.

I have been enjoying ELS Eventing on YouTube, particularly the series on backing her new young horse, so may stick some vlogs on. Currently tucked up in bed listening to Shut Up and Ride podcast hoping the rest will help me feel better.

It sadly remains weather dependent, its a balmy 2 degrees here in currently sunny shropshire which is doing a good job of melting the last of the slush away, however if the forecast is to be believed then strong winds and rain are arriving this evening.
The only riding thing cemented in is a lesson sunday moring at a local riding school on one of their ponies which I'm looking forwards to, and if there is a window of decentish weather tomorrow afternoon, teen daughter and I will be hacking out on the horses we ride for a friend. My own coblet will just be enjoying much needed field time after a few yard imposed duvet days this week.

Not sure what I'm doing yet. Pony is fortunately on full livery as I've not been up for 2 days as the lanes are an ice rink. Hopefully the rain will remove the ice and snow and I'll be driving there in a flood instead.

Supposed to be bloodhounding on Sunday but 40mph winds forecasted around the time I'd be travelling so don't think we'll be going. I actually wasn't worried about the wet as it's pretty fast-paced so you keep warm. Some of our best days have been wet and muddy, plus it's our closest meet so it's a bit of a shame, but never mind!

4yo is having her first clip tomorrow, just a baby bib clip. She's still on holiday technically but currently resembles a shetland pony and I'd like her to lose a few pounds before they move fields next month.

Lesson Saturday cancelled due to the appropriately named storm Bert. I am not a fair weather rider due to always having good doers who need exercise but safety comes first and this weekend is heavy rain and wind.

I'm not normally a fair weather rider but all I've managed this week is the odd short session of walk groundwork in a frozen field - so riding in storm Bert isn't happening. Babycob is also reacting to palpation at a point on his back & I can't work out why.

Took the microcob for a quick canter on the sunniest headland earlier so she could have a good cough! Still too frozen for much more although I'll ride her in high winds if there's a gap in the rain.
