Wetted Hay Query

If your horse does not finish its haynet of wetted hay in any 24 hour period, do you throw it and start again with fresh wetted hay - or can you leave it until the whole lot has been consumed?

I would throw it out now the weather is warmer it will start to ferment or go mouldy very quickly.
