I haven’t looked at dogs in years and had a snoop on gumtree just for the laugh and was disgusted by the price of crossbred mutts, most around 1200-1500. Then proper kc reg purebreds from clear good health tested lines and show or working parents were like £500. It renewed my vow of never buying another dog.

My vulnerable breed pup was 3 figures, my GSD who was 4 months old, house, lead trained , socialised etc, was just in the 4 figures. I don't understand why people such stupid sums for mongrels and pure breds from non health tested stock

Stupid trends. It’s only very recently that much has been said about eg bracy dogs, like Moonpig removing pictures of them. Cockapoo types, to be fair, can be very cute, archetype of the cuddly fluffy puppy so very visually appealing, I suppose.

Looking at the Doghouse yesterday, they had a litter of GSD puppies, a family had to choose one of the boys and I mentally chose the cutest fluffiest one-the one they ended up with (also because he was shy/quiet, I’m a sucker for an easy dog!)
