Took to tackshop:

20 rugs
6 girths
4 velvet browbands
4 headcollars
4 leadropes
1 breastplate
2 numnhas
3 snaffle bits
1 saddle

And I still have more stuff to sort through!
If it all sells (hell, if half of it sells!), I'll be rich I tell you.....rich!

Yes, 'tis all Druid's fault actually - she made me buy LBO (& all the others!) loads of Horseware Ireland rugs, which I am now addicted to, so I have to get rid of all the 'unwanted' ones of other makes!

Have started collecting a few Fal Pro ones now too, which OH says is fine, as long as I shift the spare ones I don't want! Sad! Truly sad!

Also, am on a lifelong mission to colour co-ordinate everything & one day, when I am old & grey (& the ponies are older & greyer!), I may actually achieve this 'ambition'!

Ah... so the stuff that isn't allowed in your immaculate tack room goes into the house!!
Have you tried actually using tack as interior decoration?
smile.gif
I've got a saddle in the bathroom and bridles and bits on the walls.... most decorative!!

I physically couldn't fit the rugs in anywhere else & I refuse to have them all cleaned & then 'store' them on the stable walls, to get covered in dust & cobwebs & eaten by mice!

Took 20.....have 26 left!

Between three ponies though - OK, four ponies - SWUO has one l/w turnout but she never wears it - it just sits there in all its pristine lilac prettiness!

Style & colour co-ordination is everything, though I fear the world will actually be Horseware Ireland's, as they will have all my money!

gosh - if I chucked out for sale all the spare rugs/tack/bits/etc that I have - filling up 4 trunks in the shed - then I'm sure I'd immediately need to buy something I'd just sold

got 3 saddles kicking around somewhere - but they are the old 'hunting sort and 171/2 inch ones - no-one wants those now. Then there are grass reins, nosebands, helpp.....................

but then one of the livery ponies had a rubbed browband area after sweating it out at PC camp doing more work than usual - so it's now wearing the browband (horse-size) of my old horses double bridle that hasn't been used in 12 years

.......now if I'd sold that bridle................
...........suppose the livery would have had to put hands in pocket and buy their own outside browband......
.....perhaps I'm too nice - thinking about it two liveries using my bits, one using a rug of mine, another one with flash strap of mine, another one..........

ho hum - better not sell the stuff in those trunks in the shed yet !!!!

I don't blame you for everything........just the vast quantity of H.I. rugs I have now acquired!

And thank goodness for it - thanks more than partly to you, have finally found a brand that fits, works, lasts and comes in lots of pretty colours!

I'm always lending stuff out too but eventually I thought "Oh, s*d it, go & buy your own!" It's not like they're desperate or anything, half the time it's 'cos they can't be bothered to clean their own stuff or worse, have bloomin' put it down somwhere & lost it!
