I'm getting my little a horse a double bridle in the next week or so, I was just wondering what sort of weymouth set to get for him. His welsh part bred and has quite a fleshy mouth and can be quite funny if he doesn't like the bit. Could anyone recommend a good set? Thanks

My boy is part welsh and was briefly in a double bridle which he didn't particularly like. Personally I think his mouth was too fleshy for two bits so have since taken the time to find a Pelham for him.

You can get the tom thumb bits which are much smaller for little mouths, failing that you can get a rugby pelham looks more like a double but only one bit. Many arabs i have known who also have fleshy mouths with large tongues do well with the tom thumb bits and the pelhams.
