Can someone please tell me the ideal weymouth to buy my horse for his first double bridle. I would like to get a kk or a neue schule bit but it has to be thin as my horse has a tiny mouth, is a 16mm thin? Many thanks

I would ask your instructor as they will know your horse best and should (if they are telling you to use a double) know about the different weymouths out there and which is most effective. My dressage instructor uses the sprenger lower port weymouth, it specifically designed to be comfortable on the tongue and has a soft action. Is is good starting place while they get use to the tongue pressure and the lever action.

I think this is it, relatively thin too.
