Hi, I am starting to look at riding my horse in a double in prep for showing this year but this is something I have never done before, and while I understand about the different effects, different cheek and mouthpieces have on most bits, I am completely oblivious when it comes to Weymouths and want to make sure I get the right type, so just want to learn as much as possible about the actual bits before I buy (I will obviously have tuition with a double so I learn how to use it, and consult my Instructor on what he reccomends but it would be nice to be informed beforehand!). e.g. whats the difference between a sliding cheek weymouth and any other type of weymouth in terms of action / Strength.

I also know that the bradoon needs to be slightly bigger than the weymouth - is 1/4 an inch enough or should I try for 1/2 an inch difference?

Sorry for the numpty questions...

Ta!
