I bought a set of Italian jumping boots but cant work out the hind ones at all! To me they look like small front tendon boots but were assured they were full size hinds! What do you think? BTW, the horse is 17hh if that helps!

Swap them over - you have the fronts on the back and visa versa.

Usually back boots have more straps than the front

Gone are the days when the staff at the saddlery store know what they are talking about - most are staffed by young people with minimal knowledge, the catalogues come with bits and other equipment incorrectly named

Tnavas, the fronts are good, they fit fine, good open fronted tendon boots with protection for the fetlock, the backs have extra strap but still open fronted? Can see the reasoning for this.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but the fronts look like brushing boots, if that's the case they could go on the hind. Why not post pictures of the boots themselves?
On the picture I can see 5 straps on the front boots and only 4 on the back boots?

I have somewhere in my old tack box, a pair of boots like that. They are deffo front tendon boots and have been for the last 20 years.

I would try swapping the fronts and backs. The back ones definatley dont look like back boots, i cant see the point in having that much protection for the hind tendons
