I’ve got a trip away next weekend and my cousin very kindly agreed to look after my 2 horses. We didn’t discuss payment but I would like to pay her for her help. She would be putting out and mucking out in the morning and taking in and feeding at night.

So what do you pay/charge?
Do you pay by the hour or a day charge?
Or what would you be happy to receive for doing the work?

She lives at the end of our road so could walk to mine in probably under 5 mins so she doesn’t need to travel far but it’s still a lot to ask to see to them twice a day all weekend.

I pay £10 per visit she is a friend and drives past my house twice a day to do her own horses, mine are normally living out so no real mucking out either, so it's just hay feed water and clear hard standing so it doesn't take long.
