What’s wrong with ‘Riding School’

I can think of three riding schools within 5 miles of me that now call themselves ‘somewhere Equestrian’ whereas they used to be plain old ‘somewhere Riding School’. I am still able to sleep at night but I wonder, why? And ….. shouldn’t it be Equestrianism?

Very likely an attempt to save money. If they can come away from a school set up and perhaps loan ponies they can avoid a lot of cost.

Everywhere I rode when I got back into riding as an adult about 20 years ago was an equestrian centre.
