Heard Kia is ok but not as big a payload as others.
Basically you need a 'real' 4x4.

Isuzu!!! Good think about range rovers, discos and isuzu's is that there are still loads of old ones on the road so gives some indication of build, the kia sorento is supposed to be very good but hasn't been around long enough to know how well they last!
Also toyota landcruisers! Toyotas tend to go on and on and on!!!!

The Disco has been grand for sheer towing ability. It has all mod cons as well so is comfortable 
. It's the old style one (don't like the new, sorry!).
My Disco has towed two big horses up steep hills okay, pulled a large horse lorry out of the mud, and I'm usually driving about a thousand miles a week give or take a few lol (don't like the fuel consumption, but can't have everything
