Well guys!!

Three events completed, not an SJ pole lowered (incl in practice arena), three clears XC including lots of skinnies and other nasties...

And the best bit is....D and Sophie are finally getting the hand of this dressage business. For the first time yesterday her outline was consistent through nearly the whole test apart from one canter.

They have 12th, 12th and 8th so far this season....she must be due a rosette soon don't you think????

Only downside is that we had the dressage judge from hell yesterday, so he actually got a worse mark than prev weeks (but thankfully I had watched the test and knew it was a better test). There were loads of tests with over 50 pen, the worst was 58 penalties, if I was that chap I would have gone home in tears, I think everyone in that arena was usually about ten marks worse than they usually get.

Anyway, thats our season to date...
I know there have been a lot of HHO eventing wins/places over the last couple of weeks, and we will be doing our best to get one soon.

Hope everyone who was competing gets back safely and comes online soon to tell us all about it.....

Well done, that's a real achievment

I agree, it doesn't look good when lots of people are getting below 50%

what a fantastic start to the season, I really hope the rosette comes soon!! fingers crossed the rest of the season carries on like this

The judge was heard to say at the scoreboard after her class that some of the horses in her ring were "just horrendous". Apart from being unprofessional to talk like that in public, it was a typical PN class, mixture of pro's on young horses (both WB and TB), and one horse amateurs both young and older. Of course there is going to be a spread of marks and rightly so, but the worst weren't at 40% level which is where she had them at. Hope she isn't booked again anythime soon.

Still..it didn't spoil the day fortunately (and it was the same for everybody).

ohhh...who was the judge (PM please if not on open forum ;D)
That PN course was a bit tough so that's brilliant!

Just for weezy...(and any others still about)

No XC I'm afraid as I knew I would have to run a bit to see the early and later parts of the course, so didn't take the camera.

This is his third season with her, and the dressage thing has only clicked with him in the last few weeks.

As an owner/plaiter upper/exercise rider and general dogsbody - I think I deserve a rosette. Would be happy with a place though.

The owner (ie me) wants a rosette.
No that's not true actually. As long as they are having fun every week and going well, I'm not bothered. I'm glad he finally getting there with the dressage though, was beginning to think that they would never click with it.
Looking forward to Rademon in a fortnight, as D rode there first about 15 years ago with his intermediate horse, and was his favourite then.
