Just thought I would moan about my rubbish day...waited around in freezing cold for late farrier...then realised horsey has mud fever..and I have to go back to work tomorrow after a week off..I wish I didnt have to work!
Just out of interest, how many of us work shifts?(me) and how many work 9-5 jobs mon to fri. Am considering getting something mon to fri 9-5 to have a routine but then I will miss finishing work at 3 to ride or having the morning and not starting work til 2! ahhh decisions

What a horrid day. I am fortunate enouigh to only work Mon, Tues and Weds morning, but my horsey husband used to work shifts (6-2 or 1-9) and he loved it. He had to have his hours changed and in addition to the 25% salary drop (ouch) he hates the hours as he can't ride at all in the week. Whichever shift he was on he could ride at one end of the day, and if he wanted a weekday off to hunt he could usually get away with taking a half day!

Yes see everyone I seem to hear from loves it! Its just a bit rubbish when it comes to routine for horsey..but then in summer there is no routine really as she only gets breakfast which YO gives them all no second feed. Its just winter that would benefit from a routine i think..summer mornings and afternoons here I come!

I guess we had the best of both worlds as I was generally around if he wasn't. By this time in the winter I think we are all a bit jaded with the whole dark, cold scenario and aren't happy with anything - or maybe thats just me!
