What a day, and an announcement!

Tomorrow Axel is going on loan for a year to another forum member (Starsky), I have to have 2 operations this year one on my foot and another on my knee.
Today I was going to have a wonderful last day with him and go out for a lovely long ride

I got about 5 mins down the road from the yard when a bloody pheasant or something flew out of the bushes at us causing Axel to spin round and I fell off!!
I really hurt my back and couldn't get back on him so I just led him back to the yard and went in the school for a bit instead. Was going to attempt to go out again after but then it started pissing down with rain so I gave up.

I now feel a bit sick and have a splitting headache so I looked at my hat and there's dirt on it so I must have hit my head, and I have to go to work tonight

Not having a good day really am I?

The announcement has been made, I have been waiting for it

You poor thing. Axel was just trying to give you a lasting memory of him!!!!

If the weather is nice in the morning take him for a little plod, its a shame to end on a bad note!!!

I'll pop up in the morning with some choccy biccies to go with the tea you are going to make me!!!!!

Hope you don't ache too much tonight, i'm working tonight too so will think of you

Ah the annoncement has been made! Seems a shame to end it on that! but I hope you manage to go for a little hack tommorow. Hope the move goes well and everything works out well. You know if you wan't something to ride and miss riding Pickle is always here

Thank you, I had spent all afternoon cleaning my tack, but I'm sure Starsky won't mind if it's not pristine!

I will be thinking of you tomorrow I am sure it will all go fine an Axe will love his new home. Give him a big hug and as his new home is nearer to me than Eastbourne maybe we could go and see him one day.

Axel went to his new home yesterday, he was happily eating straw from his massive bed when I left and there are some pics of him in the gallery if anyone is interested!
