So Friday I decided whilst recovering from food poisoning that I would take bob Friday I decided whilst recovering from food poisoning that I would take bon showing today.
This morning came around and i wasted as much time as I could eating, watching rubbish TV and generally tapping my fingers (afternoon classes aren't normal!!!)
I ventured down the yard for 10.30 giving myself 2hrs 45 to get bob all washed and ready. Well he was washed in 45 mins! So I sat about for nearly 2 hours twiddling my thumbs!
Simon went and fetched the trailer popped at the yard and at 1pm dad arrived and hitched on. Checked lights.....
....no lights......tampered like men do....
.....still no lights.....
....frantic male discussions on shall we try this shall we try that.......still no f*ing lights!!!!!
I quietly suggest dad towing with our car which is greeted with more male grumbling so decide to stand and tap my fingers a bit more!
Anyway 1.30 comes around and the men have the lights working sufficiently to get us the 4 MILES up the road we are going
Loaded, tower, arrived.
Unloaded. Tied Bob to the trailer and asked si if he was ok to keep an eye whilst I get changed. Yep he says so I grab my showing clothes. Jump in the trailer and get my boots off, undo my trousers, get them half way down my are and *snap*
Simon what was that
Simon: bobby come here
Quickly pull trousers back up peek over back f trailer to see simon grabbing on to bobby's hood telling him to stand :shok::shok:
Bob by this point is spinning like a barrel horse with si in tow, a second later and bobby vanishes across the show ground simon yelling 'bobby come back here' (what that was going to do only simon will know!!!)
He spent 10 mins showing everyone how well he could spring like a deer. Trot like valegro and do his best Arabian impression before some very kind person grabbed a scoop of grub and fickle bob went straight to them!
Simon then grabs bob I thank everyone I can see and head back to the trailer. Got dressed constantly asking 'have you still got hold of bob?' Got his bridle on. Grabbed grooming bag and camera and headed to the ring. Calling me already X _ X
Went in Russell marks was judging. I like him as a judge. Will always give feedback and he will be critical!
Pulled 2nd and literally dragged around by my friend breathing Arabian (transformed cob)
Came out. Spent 5 mins saying to Simon 'im not sure which ring my next class is in' of course he never got the hint but hey! I handed him back what was now leaping Bambi and went to find out myself.
Quickly rammed hat back on shoved hands in sweaty gloves and went to second class.
Dissapointing. Only entry :-(
Judge liked him though. Still dragged me around little sod.
Asked about championship he said there wasn't one. Ok. That's fine.
Shot into opposite ring for championship there. Chaps horses. Plaiteds. Didn't stand a chance. Good experience though.
Whilst walking around judge from second ring came over and told me there was a championship in his ring.
Came nowhere in first champ as predictedshot across to next ring championship.
Ran for my life (whilst trying to steer bob and keep hold of him)
He pulled us in in an open order nice hunter type. Us. A stunning shire!
Didn't really think much.
Pulled champion.
THRILLED! ABSOLUTELY THRILLED!
My first champ!
Now for some photos! Please excuse the fact i look the same colour as my trousers. From arriving to leaving was an hour and a half!!!! Don't mind if all shows run like that!!!!
