I have had the day from hell! or it feels that way anyway.
I work at the reception of a busy hospital and yesterday the outpatients clinics had to be cancelled for today because of the weather.
I have been told I am useless, incompetant, should know more, what is the reason for cancellations (hello - look at the roads!) do I know if the buses are running, (do I look like the bus company:mad:) are the trains running(yep, I am British rail, obviously:cool:) will the weather be bad next week? How do I bloody know!!!:eek:
I have had members of public treat me worse than a piece of ***** on their shoe, because things have not gone to plan for them. Is it down to me? NO!!!:mad::mad:

And then I go to the yard, and I am met with my beautiful pony, tucked up in his stable in his lovely warm rug, who gave me a wonderful cuddle, and a look of love.:o:o

And all was well.:D

I know how you feel!! I work in customer services for the council ...

amazing how our ponies cheer us up no matter what isnt it :)

It is just things like the little whinney he gives as I walked/slid around the yard. And the slurping noise he makes with his dinner, cos I put too much hot water in it and made it like soup!!

They'd be singing a different tune if they had an accident.
Thinking of the horses help me get through tough days, knowing that who ever is giving me grief is probably going home and doing nothing for the rest of the day, and i am going to see my horses, and give them a groom and cuddle, and go out for nice long hacks, or going for a gallop.

I know the feeling. I looked outside at the snow last night and decided to get the train in. Went to leave for the station and they were cancelled. Dug the car out and spent over 2 hours driving 8 miles.
Got to work and my boss warned me that the roads by the stables were lethal, I thanked him for the warning and said I would tell my mate, who was about to drive there - boss then comes over and tells me off for send the message, as I work through my lunch as there is a piece of urgent work he sends me a warning via email for the message I sent before!
Finally try and leave work and get stuck in the car park. I ask some people to push me out and they kindy help, then as soon as they are gone I get stuck again! terrifying drive home follow.
Have to cancel night out with old friends as the trains are still off.
Arrrrrrhggg
thank god for wine!
