Last July I posted this thread and pics (Some are a little disturbing so be warned)

http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=282745

It has taken nearly a year of heartache, worry and a roller coaster of emotion.

But my wonderful brave boy is now back. He is still heavily scarred on this hip and over one eye but all in all we have been so lucky.

I am so proud of this brave spunky horse. These pics were taken today;

I have been waiting for this post!
He looks absolutely amazing, as he should do after all the hard work that was put into getting him well again.
Lovely photo's!

So glad to see all that worry and hard work paid off, he looks brilliant now, you would never guess what a mess the poor lad was last year. Well done, he really is a credit to you.

Is he the horse that was cast in his stable.
If so you have done a fab job he looks great.:DI made sure my banks were much bigger after your post

Cellie - Yep he is the one who got cast and hung up on the bars between the stables hence my Bars between stables are evil rants and why he now sleeps in a container!

Brighteyes - indeed - I have seen more chiropractors in the last year, the way he was twisted when he was down also damaged his Pelvis and back My insurance company love me!

Storm in a Teacup - he needed 3 months off then starting slowly so I just thought lets do something completly different and found myself a Western Trainer and told him to treat Vardi like he was untouched. The person that broke him had done a terrible job anyhow and we had a major issue with him trusting the bit so the whole western ethic of put the horse where you want it and leave it the hell alone:-))) works for him perfectly.

Thanks everyone it has been a long year but it seems (not wanting to tempt fate) to be going the right way now.

So glad he's better now, you must be so pleased :)

Kenzo I am over the moon, especially as at one point I was advised to have him PTS as he would never be any good for anything apart from being ridden in walk!

It has been a slow road building his strength up you would get to a point then something would go wrong Chiro or vet out rest then back 6 steps and off again. Jan my YO and trainer has been amazing and patient and has even fought the Insurance Company for me and won.

This time next year I sincerely hope to be posting "hey we took part in our first Western Show" fingers crossed!
