We got The Fat One 2 and 1/2 years ago and lets just say it hasnt been easy.
When we got him I would refuse to ride him because his behaviour was so bad and it was also dangerous. I actually hated him because I was just scared of him.
We did our first show together and he reared and bucked and threw himself around the ring so badly that the judge said get that horse out of my ring and stay out

Also he would stand in his stable with his head pressed in to the back corner

But he very slowly started changing after 4 months he stood for the first time with his head over the door and I went in the stable with him on my own for the first time (i was 11). He still looked scared though on his eyes but this went after 6 months and after a year I finally managed to ride him on my own and I jumped a 1foot course on him!! He is a shade under 15 hands

But then we jumped a 70cms round and came 5th cue very happy rider

A year later he is constantly improving
and last weekend end we jumped
95cms and 1m and won both
unfortunately there wasnt any pictures of the metre which he really flew round

also he has quite a nasty nap in him and he has really taught me to ride people look at him and think he is a very easy ride but as his rider he often isnt!!!

I know how that feels, my horse was a satan pony when I got her. She's gone full circle and is now really well behaved (most of the time). Everyone looks at her and says 'She's so lucky to have a horse that does everything blah blah'. I always think to myself.. if only you knew!
He looks fab, I know how good it feels to have come on so fars so a big well done
