I only got a few hundred meters down the road when D put in one of his usual spooks, nothing major just a scuttle across the road, the unusal thing for me though was I just went flying out the side door. I have no idea how it happened, I normally stick to him like glue, but for some reason I felt it necessary to fling my self to the other side of the road and land with a thump head first...:rolleyes: I now have a lovely headache, my nose hurts (dont think its broken though thankfully) I have a lovely scrape down my arm and my back and hip hurts from where I landed. The bike my dad was riding is also trashed as the horse put his feet through the wheels, thankfully his boots protected his legs and all he has is a little nick just above his hoof and he got covered in stings when he fell into the nettles. Thankfully dad, despite the fact that he cant move very quick, managed to jump off the bike out of harms way. He just had to get me back home while I was seeing stars. Just got the hassle of replacing my hat this weekend (so much for me going to gatcombe...) but at least it did its job. Just hoping you guys will send some healing vibes as I'm feeling a little fragile... :D

Not nice hitting the road! Hope its nothing serious for you. If its any help, i believe Ridemore still have 25% of Champion hats. Might help to ease the pain a tiny little bit. ;)

Oh heckers (((hugs))), your horse did a grand job there!
What with a knackered bike, takes out poor dad out, deposits and injures you in the process, trashes no doubt an expensive hat and scrapes his legs in the process.

Hope your feeling better soon, you must be so glad your horse had his boots on though.

Live to tell another tale though eh. :D

Yes it was an expensive evening! Not looking forward to the bills tomorrow for all the replacements and yes Kenzo so glad he had boots on, could have been soooo much worse. When he was hoping round I thought he had broken his leg the way he'd put it through the bike but it was because his boot was hanging off and his bum was covered in stings. He walked back up the road no problem afterwards. Thankfully there was no damage to the boots so that one less thing I have to replace. I will also be supporting your cause of wearing a body protector every time I hack out now as soon as I've bought a new one. My old one is far too big after loosing weight so just need to go round trying them all on now.

And just to let you know, I'm sore and stiff as a board. My nose nose is permanently blocked and the bridge of my glasses is making it sore. My head feels like its stuffed with cotton wool and is balanced precariously on my neck, of which I can hardly move. I have to physically turn my body to look round. My back is sore as is my hip still, the graze on my arm stings to hell and didnt help by catching it on the hay this morning and my (previously broken) ribs now I'm sat at work are starting to pull and hurt! Whoopeee dooo da I'm feeling fantastic, but at least the slowness of last night seems to have dissapeared... It only takes me a minute to register what people have said rather that the 5 and I can get my words out now. :D:D

The last time I came of my boy, he had spooked slightly at a rather large weed. I usually stay on fine, but not this time. I hung on by the reins, got dragged thru a barley field and stood on.....but no injuries other than a scraped face and sore back. Took a few days to recover from that, so don't do too much atm, take it easy ! hope you feel much better soon. x
