I've just taken my grey on a short in-hand walk. I was going to take the gelding too but as I was on my own I had to change my plans. I decided to take her because she's not gone out for a while, where as he went out yesterday.

He was not impressed about being left behind (with two other horses who are far more sensible and were standing quietly in the shade ;) ). I could hear him shouting for her from across the valley! On the plus side, she was brilliant and even waited patiently for me to catch my breath on one particually steep uphill bit. :o

We got back and he came galloping over. I turned her back out and she promptly nipped him on the bum! Poor boy, she doesn't love him as much as he loves her.

He's going to have to get used to her going out without him as she's going to be backed later this year. I don't want to have to drag him along too all the time. ;)

I'm going to build up the length of time that her solo walks are. Hopefully he'll soon get the idea that she always comes back. :)

I am becoming more and more convinced that Nitty is Floss' estranged TB twin. :p

I think they might be!

I came back from putting her out yesterday and BH was banging and crashing round his box (he was going jumping) and one of the girls on the yard said 'have you put her out?' and I said yes, and she said 'what, on her own' and I said yes and she seemed amazed. Nitty couldn't give a fig if BH isn't around poor boy. I do actually feel quite sorry for him sometimes. She was pulling his tail a couple of days ago the vile little moo!

I found this photo from when she first met him.

Lord knows why he decided to like her best.

She does like him now, but he does bug her a bit sometimes. ;)
