My sister and her family came down today and they all wanted to come and see George

firstly my niece who is 10 had a ride, she has only been riding for a year but did brilliantly - I had him on the lunge just in case, but he was a star

Then my sister who has a joint disease and trouble walking suddenly said she would love to ride George, but knew it wasn't possible, especially as she's never been on a horse before - well with a bit of care and a bigger mounting block she did it (so proud of her), she only walked round but George was very calm and walked extra slowly as if he knew

He then put up with the family all hosing his leg, but what I love about this pic is that my OH seems to be looking at George with real affection

Sorry bit self indulgent, just proud of my boy today!

You're so lucky to have a horse that will stand so nicely with everyone around him, mine would use that as an excuse to show off even more than usual! he's a lovely horse, what breed is he? and were you in one of the horsey magazines a few months ago, I think I recognise you from an article about safe horses?!

He is gorgeous and how kind and thoughtful he was. I do think horses can really sense if someone needs extra care - I know the one I share knows I'm a complete numpty and is really sweet and patient with me (nearly always!) She is a credit to you

George looks like he is loving the attention - he is a member of your family and probably thinks he should be sitting down to Sunday lunch with you! What a star.
