I think I had one of the best rides of 2008 so far! It was mild this morning, sunny and the ground dried fairly well this week on the gallops as we haven't had that much rain here in Leicestershire this past couple of days.
Went on a long hack and had a GOOD gallop on my Arab. The wind was in our hair (well, mostly in my hi viz tabard and plait!) and Sen was quite the little galloping Arab this morning- FAST!
I've been feeling annoyed this week with various things but this ride this morning really blew the cobwebs out.

Anyone else have a good ride today?

ooo which gallops did you go to??

I won't get to ride today *sob* because I have to go to college this evening (South Leics actually - so I guess just down the road from you?!).

The ones in Countesthorpe past Oakfield park (when you cross over Hospital Lane).

I live just down the road from South Leics college (literally a 6 minute walk!), I pass by the back of it when i go pick up my son from school in Wigston. Sorry you couldn't get to ride today, hopefully the weather will hold up for this weekend!

I am very jealous - it was a lovely day today but didn't get home from work in time to ride this evening.
Did have a good ride yesterday (apart from knocking someone's wing mirror off) and horsey was very chilled.
We even managed a controlled canter along a bridleway near Mkt Bosworth (so a bit further west than you).
Hopefully the weather will be good this weekend as the mud is definitely drying up.

I had a nice ride today on my boy but we are all road work sadly...still nice to get out and about. I am out at first light tomorrow before the hunt come round in the morning!
