The weather down here as been so horrible and i haven't been able to ride since i got my boy a few weeks ago. Now its a case of getting a saddle fitted now its decent weather!
Anyway, when i bought Ronnie i was assured he was good in traffic and although i didn't get a chance to check this i had a purchase contract drawn up with all of this information in it so i felt confident he would be fine.
Today we had beautiful weather and me and my friend decided it would be nice to take them out, me walking him and her riding.
I was really quite nervous which made us both laugh a bit. I guess its because we are still getting to know each other, he's only five and its the unpredictability i worried about, at least when i know a naughty horse i prepare myself and manage it but what can you do with a horse who has never done anything wrong your just paranoid about the unknown?
Well i pulled myself together and pushed myself to stop being such a nelly and went. We came across other horses hacking, cars, florecent cyclists, turned out horses fence running, walkers with funny hats on, wooly sheep, vans and he was completely brilliant! I was so proud of him and me! In my excitement i ended up doing some seriously embarrassing 'jig' thing in front of everyone when we got back... ohwell!
Sorry for the pointless post, but seriously guys its amazing what happens when you put a little bit of faith in your horses and yourself.
Well done to everyone else who has managed to get over some unfounded fear or irrational nerves!
