What a lovely surprise forum member Aoibhin has just given us.
It turns out she is an old neighbour of ours from many years ago who knew all our horses at that time. Well, she's just sent us a private message saying she is sure there is a photo of "Maidy" and "Figgy" being used in H&H News section on the Horse Tax Plans under fire. She is right, well spotted Aoibhin.
It was lovely to hear from her and to see that H&H are still (12 years on) using a photo that they took of our foundation TB broodmare Maidy, alongside her filly foal Figgy.
Since then, we've often seen the photo (and others H&H took at the same time) pop up over the years for various articles, but had no idea about this time.
Sadly we lost Maidy 6 years ago but after having Figgy, she then gave us a colt foal which went on to give us many happy years watching him on the racetrack. Figgy herself is now one of our successful broodmares.
What a nice surprise to switch on the PC tonight and not only catch up with our old neighbour, but to see "that photo" still being used.
