Hello all!
Think this should technically go in the dogs bit but I started here so I shall finish here! (might be another long one)
Not sure where I finished last time....
she has been tested for all sorts, vets bills are very nearly 2000 now!
The refferal clinic in Swindon wanted us to get her scrat seen by a cardio/respiratory specialist, so after having her dosed up with drugss so her lungs didnt fill up again over the weekend we rand our nearest specialist, who's receptionist was shall I say less than helpfull, saying they couldn't fit us in untill later in the week despite knowing we had been waiting!
So we rang Martin refferals in Kenilworth, who where refreshingly extremely helpfull, and said that they where also fully booked but given the unusualness of her case they would see her if we took her straight away.
we got her there fairly quickly, and the vet was great and took a lot of notes from us, and we told him abou the fact that she has now started collapsing/passing out, which she wasn't before...
He took her for lots of tests, and said that she is VERY unusuall as he cant find much other than the lungs filling with fluid... he did however see her pass out, so that was helpfull.
We have been sent away with a monitor strapped to her and been told to be brave and let her do normal things. She has a diary which we need to write anything that she does and when she passes out etc. and how severely ill she is. At the end of the week we have to send it all back so they can analyse the recordings and see if there is something wrong electrically in her heart, as it looked structurally ok in the ultrasound.
he said it is risky, but they cant cure her without doing this so fingers crossed!!!
she has already been unconsious 5 times today....
If this doesn't work then she will have to see a neurologist to see if it her brain that is causing the problem!
If any of you have any suggestions or have experienced any of this before let me know!(see previous posts)
Here is a pic of her with her kit on...
