what a nightmare... New horse lame!

Its always the way isnt it? just had my new horse 2 weeks finally got tack fitted, dentist, jabs, farrier and all the rest of it sorted just started fittening him up and he goes and cuts his legs up in the field.

i thought it was just a case of minor wounds, got them cleaned up and all the rest of it, but 3 days later he's still lame so had the vet out today and he says if he's not made an improvement by weekend he'll have to go in for x-rays as he thinks he's chipped a bone... great.

I know how you feel - when first got my horse he was kicked in the field the day after I got him home

Fractured his splint bone and had to be on box rest for 4 months

It then took me ages to get to know him properly as I had to bring him back into work from scratch

When I'd bought him he was fit and competition ready - I was gutted!

I hope it turns out to be nothing serious for your boy
