I am ashamed to say that due to lots of piggy grass, the 56inch girth that fitted my clydesdale mare quite well now has no chance of being done up.....am going to buy a 60 inch one now - how embarrasing (she doesnt look obese, just a little porky, but being so big anyway she carries it well, like her mother!!)
Anyone got over 60 inch girth just so I dont feel so bad?????

no sorry but if it makes you feel better when i got my 14.2 conemarra he was obese! and as long as you keep working your horse you will get the weight off and then you will have to buy a smaller girth... when i got him i could get the girth up one hole on each side now i can get it up 4 holes each side :D and hes lost so much weigh he needs a new saddle...so just think how good you will feel when your horse looses that weight again :D
hope that cheere you up ifyou can understnd it lol x

We use a 60" for our horse,
Since he has been working harder in the school and started to tone up a little I think we could go for a 56" girth now.

Ruby had a 58' girth last summer - the supertanker has slimmed down somewhat since then - but like the emergency size 16 jeans in my wardrobe:rolleyes:- i am not throwing out the 58 girth:)
