Went along to a dressage comp today, they also run a clear round there too. There was a lad of 17/18 ish who was riding what looked like a green horse - No cyptayes it was THE colour green! - And what was just sooo nice was the way he was riding, no gadets, simple tack, quiet riding and soft hands! He was jumping fillers and the horse was very looky, he gave the horse plenty of time and was patient, confident and encouraging.
So, so lovely to see, especially when at some competitions all you see is whacking, pulling, flapping and kicking as well as some growling and shouting!! I'm sure this lad and his horse will go a long way!!
And yes - I am jealous!! Much!!!!
