Went with my friend to a local show today. There was a horse in the jumping classes who must have been 16.2 and a tb type. I assume he was being ridden by the owners daughter who couldn't have been much more than 10 and her legs barely reached the bottom of the saddle.
He really looked after her - steadying himself to make sure she was secure after every fence before carrying on. Every so often he'd break into canter then seemed to remember where he was and come back to trot to make sure she was ok. He jumped a nice clear round with her and looked after her in the jump off too so they got placed.
Bless him - what a lovely genuine horse. They were a real pleasure to watch!
Pointless post I know but it was just so touching!
