Even though I know it doesn't end in a bloodbath this time it makes me really uncomfortable watching it. Also neither of my dogs would appreciate me sticking my stethoscope in their ears! Sometimes if my ears are a bit sensitive I can find it uncomfortable never a dog. He is so lucky that dog did not object.

And doesn't Dad look intelligent?
that's a sick thing to say on multiple levels

I hope the original poster of the video knows better than to do this now and has been educated on canine body language as the dog is clearly very uncomfortable with the situation - derision is not the solution. Education is.

The whole thread leaves a sour taste but for someone who has supposedly worked in education to decide, based on the video footage above of the person, that they are stupid, or to even think that you can tell someone's intelligence from their appearance is sick, yes. Appalling, if you prefer. Grotesque.

However much you disagree with someone's actions, remarks like that are just unnecessary, and certainly don't pave the way to needed dialogue on dog breeding/behaviour/etc.

for heaven's sake lighten up. You take offence with this thread, get upset with people walking past your field making jokey remarks, with the comments on the thread you got closed down.

Do you see a great deal of intelligence in a father who exposes his tiny child to a bull breed with all the publicity and amount of killing they have done? If you don't like my thread then please don't read it. It was there to put the point across which I know many on here totally agree with and are horrified by. I did it in a light hearted way. We weren't going to have a dialogue on dog behaviour as a result of my thread. I am pretty sure we all agree.

It is clear this person lacks intelligence. That is very obvious from his actions. How anyone can think of putting their child in that position is beyond belief.

If you think that last line is appalling or grotesque then please put me on UI or have the thread closed.

The size of the things head next to the baby, scary
the size of the head on SD's post 13 is even worse and the child looks scared, crying and trying to push the dog away. Whoever would do that to a baby? If the dog's jaws latched on to the head and neck that would be curtains for the baby. Totally unbelievable.

That is very uncomfortable viewing. When the dog goes round the other side and the baby catches it with a hand - the dog jerks back and my blood ran cold.

Bar the baby's legs, the head is the same size as it - and the dog is so strong if anything did go wrong it doesn't bare thinking about

I'm a cat person not a dog one, but the look on the dogs face after the baby waves it's hand in its face gives me chills

The crying video is terrifying. Isn't it said that dogs can sometimes be triggered by the cries of a baby?

I can quite believe it.

A year or so ago, I walked my little lurcher past a lady with a pram.

The baby suddenly started screaming. My lurcher became very aroused. I have never seen her like that before. She was convinced it was prey.

She is all but 18kg, so of course I could easily keep her under control and walk her past.

To put minds at rest, she is always on lead in public and if we ever have visitors to our house, she is safely locked away. She is never set up to fail.

If it was a 50kg XL bully that was being walked under the same circumstances, would a lone female (or indeed plenty of average strength men) be able to hold it? I doubt it.

When I was looking for the video where he is trying to provoke a response from the dog by pretending to hit the baby, I did a Google search. This guy is all over social media. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook.

Is this all a money making racket?

Is there a difference between a baby cry and an adult?
When I start wailing over a movie my husky is the only one to react
And he just lays on my lap.
I just want to preface when I eventually have kids I will NOT be letting them near the baby like that man. More just curious as only 1/6 dogs seem to even notice I’m crying
