Had the chiropractor out on tues and it seems my ex racer has some back issues......what a suprise!!! his withers are tight, muscle problems in the lumbar region, problems with pelvis and stiff at the poll....phew thats quite a list.....she manipulated him and already I feel he's almost smiling and a lot less stiff. Gonna ride on the weekend so we'll see if it has made any improvement. Gonna get my hubby to make a hay bar so he feeds in a more natural position and stretches his back. He also had the dentist this week too.....rough teeth with a few hooks, now they are rasped and smooth he's not sure how to eat, but overall he must feel better this week and I'm glad that I could do all this for him.

fingers crossed for riding on the weekend.....hope he doesn't dump me

No i bet he wont, he was more likely to dump you with the back and teeth painful! the old boy had his back don't this week and has celebrated by charging around with my boy around the field in this lovely mud and it is now a quagmire (joy)!!!!! its nice when they are all checked and you know you can crack on and get them going again!

it must make them feel soooo much better! i've had a chircopractor myself and it does make a difference. I'm sure if he was human he'd give me kiss for the care I've given him this week.......I hope so anyway he he he

Yeah, I get really bad back problems on and off coz my pelvis shifts as I have a bone pin in my left femur! I got to my osteopath and he wobbles me back into place and then says 'look your legs are the same length again!!!'. I go home and am like, hang on this is great. By the end of the day I am in a large amount of pain as my muscles have got used to my back being crooked. Next morning I am super strong and feel like I could do anything I like again! Bet your horsey feels totally different tomorrow and really enjoys his hack!!!
